Stu Maddux is the director of the award-winning doc Gen Silent about the plight of some LGBTQ seniors and also Reel In The Closet a look back from the days when being gay was illegal. Queerguru is a great fan of his work and as his latest film, ALL THE LONELY PEOPLE is a work in progress we are sharing it with you as he needs some support to finish it.
This film highlights people from different walks of life who share their struggles and how they find their solutions. It discusses the effects that social isolation and loneliness can have on people of all ages, and how we can find hope and solutions in uncertain times. We’ll hear from thought leaders who are making a direct grassroots impact.
Your help could inspire others to find their answers too. All funds raised will help them use the film as a way to support organizations and community partners doing on-the-ground work to address social isolation and loneliness in local communities. Supporting this campaign means that you will help shape the impact and grassroots outreach that this film will have and help make a difference.
The film, ‘All The Lonely People’ is almost complete and they are looking ahead to raise funds for their Grassroots Impact campaign. To kick things off they’re setting an initial goal of raising $12,000 by November 2nd to help pay for outreach already in the works! The ultimate goal is them raise $40,000 by the end of the year. This will help them spend next year getting ‘All The Lonely People’ out to communities around the world and promote meaningful solutions to address the global epidemic of social isolation and chronic loneliness.
