A Very Darren Crissmas – Live From The Beacon Theatre

After seeing Emmy Award-winning actor Darren Criss convincingly singing “I’m Not Getting Married Today’ to Ward Billeisen in Broadway Backwards Fundraiser that he is ‘one of the boys’.  In fact just one month before this performance he married Mia Swier his girlfriend of several years.

However, the star of Glee and also Ryan Murphy’s The Assassination of Gianni Versace has a large queer following (and not just because of his cuteness …. as if).  Criss is not only an advocate for LGBT rights,  but he is the recipient of Variety‘s Power of Youth Philanthropy award for his contributions to The Trevor Project.

Now he’s about to play Santa (for all of us who have been good all year). He recently released his first full-length holiday album entitled A Very Darren Crissmas which features a wildly eclectic collection of tunes.

He also called in a few friends to join in. Adam Lambert joins in on the magnificently jazzy “(Everybody’s Waitin’ For) The Man With the Bag,” fellow multihyphenate Evan Rachel Wood lends her heavenly vocals to the classic “Somewhere in My Memory,” singer/songwriter Lizzy McAlpine helps bring the warm holiday spirit with “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” and “Drunk on Christmas,” an original that merges country and cocktail jazz to irresistible effect features chart-topping and wildly talented country artist Lainey Wilson.

He'll be performing A Very Darren Crissmas - Live From The Beacon Theatre
Live on Monday, December 20 at 8:00 PM EST.  It will stream on https://www.emusiclive.com/DarrenCriss

P.S.  If you wanna see more of Darren (!) then you’ll be happy to read that he will return to Broadway on April 14, 2022 where he will star alongside Emmy & Tony Award® winner Laurence Fishburne and Academy Award® & Golden Globe winner Sam Rockwell in David Mamet’s American Buffalo.
