Pink Dollar Possy the queer urban snowboarding crew give a stunning Performance

Performance is an awesome new short film by the Pink Dollar Possy, a queer snowboarder crew largely based in Minneapolis. Minnesota. Shot mostly in the city, the 16-minute movie follows the talented group as they ride across town. These guys focus on street snowboarding – which is snowboarding in an urban environment, using rails, ledges, walls, gaps, and other bits of urban infrastructure rather than snowboarding in a resort. Street snowboarding evolved out of street skateboarding and is rapidly gaining in popularity.

Excellent footage of the guys having fun and really showing skill on the snow is accompanied by a brilliant soundtrack including tracks by Chappell Roan, The Residents and Dizzy Fae amongst others. You’ll want to get out there on the snow with them after watching them in action.

The Pink Dollar Possy are always ready to welcome new people to ride with them. You can get in contact by messaging them via pinkdollarpossy on Instagram. They want to know who else is out there and really build up the queer snowboarding community, even if you’re not in Minneapolis. They plan to start traveling, so may be near you soon.

This is the first in what will hopefully be a series of films. When the Pink Dollar Possy (main members – Elias Lamm, Casey Pflipsen, Jeff DeForge, Devi Gupta, Mariah Crabb, and Alexis Roland) were growing up they didn’t have queer snowboard riders to look up to and they want to change that. They plan on being as loud as possible about who they are so that the next generation of queer snowboarders understand they have a place in the snowboarding community. Watch this space!

Performance is currently available to view for free on YouTube

The Pink Dollar Possy would like to shout out Tanner Pendleton, Seen Snowboarding, Torment Mag, Josh Tranby, the Allies, and anyone who helped make this movie possible. Special shout out to Mckinley Cutter &  Nolan Quinn.
