Cecil Beaton : The Queen’s Favorite Photographer

Sir Cecil  Beaton, CBE was a British fashion, portrait, and war photographer, diarist, painter, and interior designer, as well as an Oscar–winning stage and costume designer for films and the theatre.  He was also the favored photographer of several generations of the British Royal Family 

Just two weeks away from the release of the latest season of The Crown on Netflix  we check out the Beaton Archives at the Victoria and Albert  Museum in  London to check out the Royals as he saw them.   You can see the whole archive when the Museum is open (!) as it was bequeathed to them by Beaton’s devoted secretary Eileen Hose
