Here are Queerguru’s Top Picks of Must See Films :

PONYBOI: This thoroughly entertaining film is making such a significant contribution to the genre of queer cinema,. It’s the first ever written by and starring an out intersex person, River Gallo, and it tells a raw and riveting story of identity, survival, and chosen family.  PONYBOI, which has already won Best U.S. Narrative Feature at NewFest has surely set the standard for future films that hopefully follow. They, however, will need the passion and talent of a River Gallo to succeed…. and of course, their disarming charm…..

PS You may also like to see the two interviews with River Gallo and he movie’s hot love interest Murray Bartlett.
QUEENS OF DRAMA   is a French lesbian musical where Mimi Madamour  (Louiza Aura) a young pop star falls hook, line, and sinker for punk icon Bill Kohler (Gio Vebtyee).  French filmmaker Alexis Langlois spreads the story of a rather manic love over the course of almost half a century which threatens to consume them both.  This pop music satire is labelled ‘glittercore pop-punk’ which had this writer scrambling for the dictionary : for those of you who share thia ignorance, we should share “Glittercore” is an internet aesthetic characterized by the use of sparkles, shiny objects, and elements suggesting creativity and positivity, often associated with hyperfeminine aesthetics and themes of dependability and compassion.
