Worlds Aids Day seems the most perfect time to watch this thought provoking short movie from filmmaker Matthew Puccini. It’s the story of Jude who goes to a walk-in Clinic in a suburban strip Mall to have an HIV test. Actually throughout the story the word HIV is never mentioned , but it is very clear this is what he is being tested for, although we are never completely sure why he chose to do it now.
Based on an incident in Puccini’s own life, it is a scenario that every gay man has experienced at least once, and when that 15 minute wait for the result really does seem like a lifetime. With a pitch perfect performance by Max Jenkins as Jude this compelling wee film so deserves to be seen and shared.
