By all accounts director Joe Mantello has surrounded himself with a superb cinematographer (Bill Pope) and production designer (Judy Becker) and three Art Directors (Kiel Gookin, Annie Simeone and Alexander Wei) to ensure the stunning look of this new adaptation of Mart Crowley’s queer classic The Boys In The Band.
With its all star gay cast of actors (Jim Parsons, Zachary Quinto, Matt Bomer Andrew Rannells Charlie Carver, Robin de Jesus, Brian Hutchinson Michael Benjamin Washington, and Tuc Watkins) hell bent on repeating their Broadway success, this Netflix movie is set to be one of the most talked about queer movies this fall.
