Tennesse Williams will always be a favored son in PTown where he often summered & wrote some of his best work. The Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival is about to hold its 17th Edition where it celebrates his work with some extraordinary stunning re-interpretations of some of his most well-known pieces and introduces some unknown gems.

 

We talked with a very excited Curator/Co-Founder David Kaplan on what goodies we can expect this year.

Actor turned writer/director Todd Flaherty’s debut feature film CHRISSY JUDY,  a really delightful queer dark comedy that explores the universal pain of breaking up with your best friends and questions, that had its World Premiere in #PTown has now been selected as the Closing Night Gala Out On Film . Queerguru caught up with him to discover, amongst other things, what that buzz is all about, and  how biographical this film really is …….

Qya Cristál : The Queen Of The Night

It’s very difficult not to notice Qya Cristál in Ptown : she is not only the hardest working performer with her packed schedule of sold-out show’s but she is also the most talented and brightest star in Town. It is a sheer joy to watch her blossom and shine in a style that puts many of the visiting big named Broadway stars to shame. Miss Richfield 1981 and her Twenty Summers in Ptown

It has become something of an annual treat for Queerguru to sit down with the indomitable Miss Richfield 1981 even though she is not averse to aiming a few barbs at us, We went to talk about her brand-new show, “Cancel Cultured Pearls”, which is a guide to surviving our sensitive, new world. She’s singing and dancing and celebrating this new cancel culture thing! A

As it is also her 20th Anniversary appearing in #Ptown where she is considered as Drag Royalty, we simply couldn’t meet up at the Pilgrim House empty-handed
