Queerguru’s Ris Fatah reviews MY MASSIVE COCK on Channel 4

Do you fancy having an extra-large penis? According to research, 45% of people with penises wish they had a larger one. Channel 4’s new documentary, My Massive Cock, discusses the issues with having a very large penis. The programme is part of Channel Four’s Truth or Dare series, celebrating the Channel’s 40th anniversary, daring us to look at issues from a different perspective.

Let’s start with some interesting numbers. According to many research studies, the average erect penis is 5 to 5.5 inches long. Most people with penises actually consider the average penis to be over 6 inches long. However, only 5% have a penis that is over 6.3 inches long, and only 1% have a penis over 8 inches. Also, only 5% have a penis that is less than 4 inches long. So the average penis is actually smaller than most people think, and the vast majority of penises are a fairly similar size.

My Massive Cock focuses on those people who have penises longer than 8 inches with a few of the interviewees owning masterpieces up to 11 inches long. An extra-large penis is a source of desire for many but, as we see, a very large penis can cause all sorts of problems, including ridicule, abuse, difficulties having sex, injuries occurring during sex, issues with sexual relationships and problems with finding clothing to accommodate the member. Many of the interviewees complain about only being referenced by the size of their penis, with their personalities largely being ignored once their penis size has been discovered.

The programme interviews about 10 men and a few women. We meet Joe, who has a 9.5-inch penis, but is only 5ft 6 inches tall and of a slight frame. His girth is so big that his hand can’t reach around his dick, and he needs to buy special underwear to feel comfortable. He has previously missed out on a job as the interviewer thought he was aroused throughout the interview and dismissed him for inappropriate behaviour. We also meet Matt who is an introvert with a 10.5-inch penis and has really struggled to find a steady relationship that isn’t focused on his penis. His penis has caused so many problems for him that he has considered penis reduction surgery. This is officially rather brutally called penis amputation surgery. We follow him as he discusses this with a surgeon specialising in penis reduction surgery. This has to be performed on an erect penis and comes with many potential risks and side effects. Several of the black guys interviewed complain about being objectified as BBCs (big black cocks), and being treated as pieces of meat. A few of the guys actually seem quite happy with their endowments despite the issues and I wonder how many of them would actually swap their penises for a smaller one.

With most of the interviewees happy to show us full frontal views of their huge dicks, this program is an interesting perspective on a subject few people will have considered before. Be careful what you wish for.
