It wasn’t just the men we fell for in the Netflix/Shondaland extraordinary wonderful period costume drama Bridgerton, although creator Chris Van Dusen did give us an exceptional selection: Regé-Jean Page, Jonathan Bailey, Luke Thompson, Rupert Young Ned Porteous and Julian Ovenden etc etc There were also two very striking women chav=racters playing their own unique parts in this unconventional piece of history, and now one of them Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) is having own story told.
This new 6 part prequel series is centered on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, and the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.

India Amarteifio plays Young Queen Charlotte. Michelle Fairley plays Princess Augusta. Corey Mylchreest plays Young King George. Arsema Thomas plays Young Lady Danbury.
