London photographer Adrian Lourie celebrates “ordinary” gay men by taking their pictures and publishing them in meat, a UK gay pinup fanzine. Unlike Elska Magazine that recently devoted a whole issue to the boys of London, Lourie’s subjects are all completely naked.
He is being doing this since 2010 when he just grew tired of body shaming he saw in the gay community, and now he has also put them into a calendar for 2019.
“Some of us have muscles and some of us don’t,” Lourie says. “The calendar is a great way to celebrate the bodies of real men.” And although his selection of men is not that diverse (he definitely has a penchant for hairy white bodies) he does cover the spectrum in terms of size, shape and age.
The calendar is available to pre-order online now from meatzine.com along with the zine’s August issue.
P.S. Queerguru would love you to bits if you did us one tiny favor. Despite the fact that we have had almost 300K hits on YouTube (yeah!) they will not give us a single cent of the advertising money that they make off us until we have more subscribers. Won’t cost you a dime, but it will help support our site. Just simply click on the link below. Thank you very much!
