No plans for the weekend yet? Then check out the LFEST Lesflicks Film Festival 2021. This annual event usually takes place as part of LFEST Arts Festival in Wales, England; however, due to the pandemic, the physical festival is not taking place. So this film festival is online for the second year and the program is available worldwide.
You can purchase individual feature or strand passes or you can purchase a festival pass getting you access to the entire catalog of 2 feature films and 24 short films.
The two features are:
Once a Fury : (2020) Ten former members of the Furies, a notorious 1970s lesbian separatist collective that published a national newspaper and planned to seize state power, reflect on political activism and personal struggle. DJacqueline Rhodes
Park View documents the life and death of 32-year-old lesbian Talana Kreeger, and the impact of her murder on the legal, media, religious and community institutions in a coastal Southern community. Tab Ballis
During the festival Lesflicks will also be running watch parties so if you would like to share the enjoyment of these short films with friends old and new, you can join on zoom and enjoy together. New for 2021, the festival favorite as voted for by the audience will receive a small cash prize funded by the festival tickets. During the festival, you will be able to vote for your favorite film in each strand and also your overall festival favorite.
