Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci have been making out for 20 years

Brit filmmaker Harry McQueen a writer and director was  once known as heartthrob Jed Queen in UK Soap Opera Eastenders.  He made his debut feature  Hinterland in 2015 on a mini-budget of £10K as a project between acting jobs. It proved to be  a sleeper hit  that was shortlisted for Best British Debut and the Breakthrough Brit Award at the 2016 BAFTA Awards.

Now McQueen is in post-production for his sophomore movie which he both wrote and directed,  and which we also know cost a lot more money   Supernova is a queer love story about a middle-aged British gay couple Sam (Oscar winner Colin Firth) and Tusker (Oscar Nominee Stanley Tucci) who have been together and have decided to take a road trip visiting friends and family  Tusker was  diagnosed with early-onset dementia two years ago, and so their time together is now the most important thing they have.

As the trip progresses and  they discuss their ideas for the future, which are not the same,  secrets are revealed and their relationship is tested at this very critical point.

The movie has a distribution deal already, but no date has been set yet for its theatrical release.  All we know is that when this highly anticipated movie hits the silver screen, we’ll be taking a big box of Kleenex with us.
