The multi-faceted and multi-talented Deven Green an award-winning comedian, ukulele player, singer, performer etc etc has brought her wickedly funny off-beat humor to Provincetown Art House Theatre for 1 week only. If she looks familiar to you it maybe because she is also the face of Mrs. Betty Bowers, America’s Best Christian and the creator of brilliant parodies such #WelcomeToMyHouse

She joined us in the Queerguru house for a interview with Roger Walker-Dack filmed by Dan Desjardins

P.S. Queerguru would love you to bits if you did us one tiny favor.  Despite the fact that we have had almost 250K hits on YouTube (yeah!) they will not give us a single cent of the advertising money that they make off us until we have more subscribers.  Won’t cost you a dime,  but it will help support our site. Justin D. Quackenbush talks about Love, Valor and Compassion …….and being a P.Town virgin

Posted on Categories queerguru.tv

When David Drake’s production of Terrence MacNally’s Tony Award winning classic play LOVE, VALOR & COMPASSION opened in the Provincetown Theater last week, it quite rightly was greeted by rave reviews.  With McNally and his husband Broadway Producer Tim Kirhady in the audience, the atmosphere was electrifying and  the talented cast of gay actors really outdid themselves,  It was probably the best piece of theater that Queerguru has witnessed in all our summers up here .

Amongst the cast was NY actor/singer Justin D. Quackenbush making his Provincetown debut with an exhilarating scene stealing performance as Buzz that never let up once in the whole  2 and a half hours. With perfect timing, he really relished every ounce of humor of MacNally’s magnificent script with its wonderful hilarious veins that peppered this story about a what was essential tough time for NY’s gay community, and indeed elsewhere.

We were completely captivated and were delighted when Justin agreed to be interviewed for our series The Passion of P Town about people and events who are passionate about what they do here in out town.

Filmed by Dan Desjardins at Provincetown and with stills from Sacha Ferrier-Cohen.
