Queer filmmaker Todd Stephens revisits his hometown of #SanduskyOhio for the 3rd in a series of semi-autobiographical tales.   The first being Edge of Seventeen 1998, followed by Gypsy 83 in 2001. 

Now he and producer Eric Eisenbrey talked to QUEERGURU about their comedy/drama Swan Song and its stunning award-worthy performance by legendary actor Udo Kier as it screens at Provincetown Film Society & Festival



Aaron Bear & Wes Hurley : from Seattle to PTown with two stunning new queer films

Two of Seattle’s best queer filmmakers Aaron Bear & Wes Hurley were presenting their new films at  Provincetown Film Society & Festival

Yes I Am – The Ric Weiland Story the story of one of the world’s most generous gay philanthropists was written and directed by Bear, and Hurley was one of the film’s producers.    Hurley’s own film is an inspiring feature  based on his life story about being gay and immigrating from Russia when he was a teenager  is Potato Dreams of America

After the screenings, both filmmakers sat down with QUEERGURU to talk about their films’ journeys to date.  The interview conducted by Roger Walker-Dack was filmed by Dan Desjardins at the Lands End Inn in Provincetown

Queerguru talks with Casey Clark, Chris Danuser & Trenesa Danuser about their new short film  Pap’s Manifesto. It’s the story of a widowed Gold Star Father, hell-bent on avenging his son’s death by truck bombing a mosque, who struggles to complete his mission after he discovers his granddaughter hidden in his explosives.

It was screening at Provincetown Film Society & Festival : as part of the New England Shorts Program.

Nora Burns’s powerful and passionate performance piece DAVID’s FRIEND the story of the best friend who died from AIDS has been filmed by The Ebersole Hughes Company and is being screened at Provincetown Film Society & Festival Co-starring Billy Hough & directed by Adrienne Truscott.
