OUTtv has announced it is returning to “Camp Wannakiki” for a fifth summer of hilarious antics, as the campiest drag artists battle it out for the title “Queen/King of Camp”. The show that originally started out on YouTube may have a tiny budget but it is by far the most inclusive drag show on TV right now.
“Camp Wannakiki” features the campiest drag queens and kings at an actual summer camp. Each episode follows a day at camp, where campers duke it out in a variety of traditional camp activities from archery to arts & crafts and water sports.
Each night the campers compete in a Talent Show, showcasing a different themed look in the hope of securing their place at camp for another day. Campers who survive will earn a daily badge. But unfortunately, there are not enough badges for everyone, so each night one camper will have to “Take a Hike!” The last camper standing will win the coveted “Queen/King of Camp” badge.
Overseeing proceedings are Camp Directors The Sugarbaker Twins alongside Camp Counselor Ruthie and Ranger Danger (Eddie Danger). Special guests this season include the legendary Utica, Erika Klash, and Blu Hydrangea.
