There’s a new musical coming to NY that leaves nothing to the imagination. Literally. It’s the story of a gay couple that feel the need to re-connect, so they set off on a camping trip. However when their rental car breaks down, they hitch a ride, then get lost in the woods just like Goldilocks. However instead of being woken up by the Three Bears in the shack they took shelter in, they are greeted by Esteban.
He enlightens our two hapless ‘heroes’ that they are in the middle of Morning Wood Meadows a gay nudist campground. Now trapped for the weekend, they are faced with no alternative than to join in all the naked activities, hoping this may revitalise their relationship or something else very similar.
The Producers are calling this as being like Rocky Horror meets Naked Boys Singing, and also promising that 3 nights a week they will be getting some audience members to join in.
Conceived and directed by Marc Eardley, Camp Morning Wood, A Very Naked Musical has book and lyrics by Jay Falzone and music by Derrick Byars, Bobby Cronin, James Dobinson, Matt Gumley and Will Shishmanian,
It will play a five-week limited engagement, May 29 – July 7, off-Broadway at The Anne L. Bernstein Theater at The Theater Center (201 W. 50th Street).
