The Provincetown Theater : The Show Must Go On(line)

The Provincetown Theater hailed as ‘the birthplace of modern American Theater’ got a sharp injection of adrenaline when Obie Award winning actor/playwright/director/author DAVID DRAKE took over as Artistic Director a few years ago.

He has helmed  a series of critically acclaimed productions that have not only re-established the theater’s reputation but taken it back to the heady heights when master playwrights like Eugene O’Neill premiered their new works there.

Now during the COVID 19 crisis the theater is able to give the rest of the world a chance to view some of  the best of Drake’s recent productions online.  It is also a perfect opportunity for people to make a donation to ensure that the theater will continue to both survive and flourish presenting such excellent American theater on the tip of Cape Cod.

First here is The Provincetown Theater’s 2018 production of The Laramie Project by Moisés Kaufman and members of the Tectonic Theater Project, directed by Leigh Fondakowski (the play’s co-writer)
