Parking : a compelling short LGBTQ film from Iran

Parking is a very rare breed as it is one of  the few Iranian LGBTQ movies ever made,  This 9 minute short directed by Ahmad Seyfipour is the tale of a burglary that goes wrong.

When a man is stealing from a garage he comes across two men having sex on the back seat of a car.  They are scared as hell at being caught, and the thief forces them to hand over their cellphones and valuables.  The younger lover is reluctant to comply but his older partner insists that he does as he knows what the alternative is.

If the thief informed on them he would have to face three months in jail,  but the two men would be disgraced in front of their families and neighbours.  Far worse still they would be  sentenced to death by hanging for just being gay

‘Parking’ was  screened at BFI Flare last year and now is one of the new movies added  this month  to QUEERBEE  the world’s only streaming service for  LGBTQI short films.  Check this and all their other movies out at www.queerbee.org
