Esera Tuaolo : Body of an NFL Player & the Voice of an Angel

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels ,

Esera Tuaolo  “Mr. Aloha”  may still have the build of an NFL Player, but he also has the voice of an angel. When he retired from playing football, he came out as gay, had twins, appeared on TV’s The Voice, and started his very own anti-bullying campaign.  Oh yes, and he just won Best Restaurant Chef Award back in his home state of Minnesota even though he doesn’t actually own a restaurant.

This summer will be yet another new first for this hunky Hawaiian Samoan man as he takes a six-week residency with his own show singing all his favorite songs at Provincetown’s Pilgrim House.  That’s where Queerguru sat down to talk to this disarmingly charming man who is creating quite a stir in town before his Show has even opened.’

The interview with Roger Walker-Dack was filmed at The Pilgrim House by Dan Desjardins for www.queergurutv.com  (PS Esera sang for us too)

P.S. Queerguru would love you to bits if you did us one tiny favor.  Despite the fact that we have had almost 250K hits on YouTube (yeah!) they will not give us a single cent of the advertising money that they make off us until we have more subscribers.  Won’t cost you a dime,  but it will help support our site. Even the thought of sharks couldn’t stop PTown’s Annual SWIM FOR LIFE being another roaring success

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , ,

Despite all the talk of shark sightings in the Ocean this year the 31st Annual Provincetown Harbor Swim for Life + Paddler Flotilla still attracted some 400 swimmers from across the US making this iconic fundraiser such a joyous celebration of life.  The 1.4 miles swim  from LongPoint Lighthouse across the bay to the Boatslip Inn welcomed many veteran participants that took part alongside some equally fresh newcomers all determined to have a great deal of fun and at the same time raising much needed funds for Aids Support Group of Cape Cod, Helping Our Women and the Soup Kitchen of Provincetown

Naturally QUEERGURU’s camera was there to capture the true spirit of the day.  Filmed by Dan Desjardins and Edited & Directed by Roger Walker-Dack

FAUXNIQUE talks about her Imposter Syndrome

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , ,

The multi-talented Monique Jenkinson aka Fauxnique is probably the first award-winning cisgender female drag queen we have ever met. She is bringing her new show IMPOSTER SYNDROME to the @Afterglow Festival at Provincetown Art House Theatre for ONE NIGHT ONLY.

So QUEERGURU called her in San Francisco where she got her first big break in the legendary queer Tranny Shack Original to find out what we can all expect from her performance this week.

Fiona Goodwin: A VERY BRITISH LESBIAN

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , , ,

Brit writer/actress/comedian Fiona Goodwin took so many detours in her coming out journey which she shaped into anr hilarious one-woman-show. Hot from her highly acclaimed breakout success at Edinburgh Festival Fringe , Fiona is now bringing the show to the Pilgrim House as part of #WomensWeek. Her very dry wit and her wicked sense of irony are a sheer delight, and if you are only planning on seeing one show in Womensweek then A Very British Lesbian should be it.

QUEERGURU caught up with her in LA as she was starting to pack for P Town.
