Mike Flanagan + Sheree Marcelle perform the music of ADELE

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , , , , , ,

Mike Flanagan (MikeMRF) and Sheree Marcelle have been performing together for 12 years. They initially bonded over their love for Whitney Houston and they wowed audiences at the Post Office Cafe and Cabaret with their tribute show of her music.  Another artist with whom they found creative collaboration was Adele so they have created a new show that will consist of Adele favorites from all four albums. They will play this weekly in repertoire all summer at the Post Office Cabaret alternating with their Whitney Show.

Mike Flanagan is a multi-talented musician Saxophonist, Pianist, and Songwriter, and has released 3 albums and 1 EP .  A full-time resident of Provincetown, he is also the Entertainment Director of both the Post Office Cabaret and Tin Pan Alley.  For some inexplicable reason, he is still SINGLE …. another reason to go see him perform

Sheree Marcelle is an award-winning singer and performer currently residing in Boston and performing all over New England.  Both she and Mike sat down with QUEERGURU to talk about this new show

For ADELE they will be joined by Christian McCarthey on drums and Cliff Letsche on bass, Mike music directs the show on keys while Sheree sings the amazing words and melodies of Adele.

Miss Anita Cocktail .. the busiest drag queen in Ptown spills the beans with Queerguru

One of the many things that the queer mecca of PTown can truly boast about is a wonderful coterie of truly talented local Drag Queens. True Mz Ru occasionally sends in one of two of her overdressed televisual queens, but there can be nothing better than being entertained by someone who is a real part of our own community. Ms ANITA COCKTAIL is one such performer …. and probably one of the most popular and successful ones too. Hosting and starring in two Drag Brunches and three Variety Hours each week she also finds time to act as the Mother Hen to all the other acts at the newly refurbished Post Office Cafe and Cabaret now one of the best venues in time. Queerguru caught up with her between shows to find out about her plans this summer

Monsters. Myths and Legends : a Carnival like none other

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , , , ,

The Theme for Provincetown Carnival produced by The Provincetown Business Guild this year was MONSTERS, MYTHS & LEGENDS which gave plenty of scope for all those creative queers to let their imaginations run riot. The costumes were both spectacular and innovative, even though many of them used very little fabric! Queerguru once again invited celebrity photographer TRIXIE von GOGO to fly in to film the entire Event, and you can see from the video below how she so beautifully captured the essence and spirit of the Carnival
