Lawanda Jackson: an inspirational and uplifting story full of life/love that needs to be shared

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , , , , ,

The Queerguru Team has interviewed several hundred drag queens/artistes over the years and once in a while one exceptional one stops us in our tracks . Lawanda Jackson is such a case. A headlining act in Las Vegas, a very successful career with a big global following until 2014 when a totally unexpected brain aneurysm and stroke knocked her down …… but far from out.

When you meet her now you will understand why this was far from the end of her story, but just another chapter. She was in PTown as a special guest performing at Anita Cocktail Provincetown Drag Bunch at Post Office Cafe and Cabaret and we jumped at the opportunity to share her story. Its one of love and is both inspiring and uplifting PLEASE check it out,  it will make your day so much better

Linus Karp: Diana The Untold and Untrue Story

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , , , , , ,

Swedish-born London-based LINUS KARP is an exceptionally talented creator/actor whose wonderful output just couldn’t get gayer if he tried. Following his two sold-out runs of “how to live a Jellicle life: life lessons from the 2019 (dreadful) movie musical ‘cats’” …..”billed as “a silly, stupid and queer show” his new show is about the biggest gay icon of all time: Diana, Princess of Wales.

Queerguru talked with Karp on the eve of his London Premiere which proceeds a National UK Tour about his irreverent and hilarious must-see comic parody

Mackenzie Miller: fulfilling their Dream

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , , , ,

Nine years ago Mackenzie Miller left BIG-CITY living to move to Provincetown on the tip of Cape Cod an idyllic gay mecca that is overflowing in the summer and then dwindles down to just a few thousand in winter when the weather can be unforgiving. However, this rather magical town has a long history of encouraging all forms of artists to follow their dreams and that is exactly what Mackenzie has done so exceedingly well as they now revel in being able to perform for a living.

Queerguru caught up with them on the eve of their latest show 420 HEEENNNY 2.0 HD  at the Crown And Anchor when they shares the stage with Austin Tyler, Mona Mour, Jonathan Hawkins, Anne Hutchinson, Roxy Pops, Hamilton Fish, Lady Prism, Abby Cummings, Oya Crystal, and João Pedro Santos
