Sequin-clad satirical weirdos Bourgeois & Maurice are alien siblings from another planet but they also are quintessential eccentric Brits. And an extremely talented pair too. The award-winning duo are stars in London’s Alternative East End and in touring the globe their outrageous and idiosyncratic act have collected them international fans who love their discerning perfomance art.
In 2020 they enjoyed critical success with their sixth new musical Insane Animals, commissioned and produced by HOME Manchester. The hit show played to packed crowds for 3 weeks until the wretched Covid 19 Lockdown brought it all to an abrupt end, Now almost a year later they are about an Original Cast Album as a preview to re-opening the Show when the World gets back on its axis.

Of all of his talents and achievements, it’s as a chronicler of queer history that makes Bartlett a hero in Queerguru’s eyes. From his splendid first book Who Was That Man, which showed how the gay history of London in the 1890s affected Bartlett’s life as a gay man in London in the 1980s to his latest novel Address Book.
His passionate interest in how our past has shaped our queer present and future is such a sheer joy. So we jumped at the opportunity to talk to him about this on the eve of the publishing of Address Book by Inkandescent
NY Cabaret singer Seth Sikes was in Ptown briefly before the summer season to fulfill a long-held fantasy of his. He got to perform Judy Garland’s famous Trolley Song whilst whizzing around town on the Mayflower Trolley.
