Signature Move is unquestionably one of THE must talked about lesbian movies of 2017. This modern day romance about women from two different cultures has been feted with Gala Screenings at Festivals all around the globe.  Last week it was the Closing Night Movie at London’s BFI Flare Film Festival, and on Sunday next it will be playing at  the  Cleveland International Film Festival.  Before that however it has been selected as the Opening Night Gala Film at Wicked Queer, Boston’s prestigious LGBT Film Festival on Thursday 30th March 2017.

queerguru caught up with director Jennifer Reeder at her home in Chicago just before she left to catch the plane to Boston, and she talked to us exclusively for P.T.V. about why her movie was such a hot ticket right now.

This queerguru reports was filmed by Roger Walker-Dack for P.T.V. For our full review of the movie go to  http://c3f.ab6.myftpupload.com/2017/03/signature-move

Writer/director Jon Garcia has just completed the final part of The Falls trilogy which traces a couple of young gay Mormons missionaries as they come to terms with their sexuality within the confines of their faith. Coming out as gay can be tough enough for many people, but attempting to do that as an active member of the Church of Latter Day Saints is nigh on impossible.

Things however are changing and in The Falls Grace of Covenant,  RJ and Chris are determined to resolve the issues that have kept them apart to see if they could ever live happily ever after together from now on.

On the eve of the release of The Falls Covenant of Grace, Garcia talks to queerguru aka Roger Walker-Dack about this highly successful LGBT trilogy evolved and why he thought it time to give some closure to these young men’s struggle    The interview is filmed via FaceTime for P.T.V.

Justin David: He’s Done Ever So Well For Himself

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , , , , ,

As part of QUEERGURU’S quest researching the hotbed of queer East London, we came across Justin David as he was just launching his debut novel with a title we would have loved for our own memoir HE’S DONE EVER SO WELL FOR HIMSELF. A self-proclaimed working-class queer writer Justin is also a photographer, publisher and full-time teacher.

He’s passionate about living in Dalston with his partner Nathan Evans with whom he has formed Inkandescent a new publishing imprint to nurture and produce the work of up and coming writers.  He called us via Facetime from his bedroom and although we discussed many things, I foolishly failed to ask him if the rope so prominently displayed behind him was part of another passion.  Maybe next time.
