Legendary jazz singer MARILYN MAYE is back in Provincetown for her 6th consecutive year with a brand new show at The Art House for 4 nights only. One of her many claims to fame is that she was a guest on The Johnny Carson Tonight Show a record breaking 76 times.
queerguru aka Roger Walker-Dack is aiming to match Mr Carson and this is the second time that Marilyn Maye has sat down to talk to him for P.T.V. about how psyched she is to be back performing again in P Town : her home from home.
Writer/director Nathan Adloff’s (Nate & Margaret) new delightful dramedy MILES is about one young man’s unusual fight for equality and when he comes up against unbridled homophobia simply strengthens his resolve into accepting nothing less than he was entitled. Starring Molly Shannon and Paul Reiser but it’s newbie Tim Boardman as Miles who really shines.
Writer/director Nathan Adloff liberally uses his own life for the inspiration for the stories of the movies he makes. He has followed up the truly delightful ‘Nate & Margaret’ with a new tender coming-of-age story called MILES about a young gay boy who discovers that his own route over the rainbow is playing in a girl’s volley ball team. On the eve of the East Coast Premiere of the movie at Provincetown International Film Festival he stopped by Sage Inn and Lounge to talk to queerguru about making Miles and so much more.
The streets literally went completely glittery when Manuel and his friends showered all the crowds the entire length of the Parade route of the P Town Carnival this year. queerguru caught up with him later to find out his story.
Amongst all the merriment of P Town’s Carnival , two brothers from Chicopee, Massachusetts created their own tribute to the victims killed in Pulse Nightclub, Orlando by adding a 49 foot train that containing 49 butterflies on their 80’s supermodel dress. queerguru caught up with them after the Parade.
