The 1950’s and 1960’s were known as the ‘posing pouch era’ as the Law and prudish American society insisted that penises were tucked out of sight in beefcake photos. The result were some very hot images of near naked men which have become very collectable these days.
During the week between Leather Pride and Pride Weeks in Palm Springs, California there will be a Pop Up Show presented in the Back Alley Gallery at the Heath Gallery that will feature work from some of the best known photographers of that time. These include Bob Mizer, George Quaintance, Milo of Los Angeles, Bruce of L.A. and Western Photography Guild. Plus Jim Wilkinson who will actually be present showing images from his book Naked Truth : Exploring Souls.
Prints of the Images will be on sale in the Gallery.
